Restoration of Grade 1 Orangery at Shockerwick House for messrs BUPA overseen by Bennett Architectural Design. The building constructed in 1750AD by the famous architect John Wood had fallen into serious disrepair as can be seen in the photos. The roof was rebuilt, the masonry & floors were renovated with damaged areas sympathetically replaced or repaired. New openings were created as well as new doors and joinery. Paths were created to give wheelchair access for the residents of the care home to enjoy the refurbished building.
